Literary News!

I have been published.

As a young lad I wanted to be a poet but I became a scribbler and music dibbler instead. But now, for the first time ever, a poem of mine has been published! Yes, a poem! And not just one but TWO poems have made the grade.

And that’s not even the best of the news because they appear in the latest collection, Spring 2026, from Viper’s Tongue Press, the home of Musician, Writer, Painter, Raconteur and Artist with a capital ‘A’, Mr Billy Childish and edited under the careful scrutiny of Alberta Umber. This of course means that they are published in the UK, the land of my small boyhood. Hand compiled in Chatham, Kent and distributed by ‘L-13 Light Industrial Workshop’ in Clerkenwell, London. It includes a hand stamped cover by Billy Childish himself and a selection of always brilliant poets. I can’t wait to get my own copies.

I am humbled to be in such company and deeply grateful for the inclusion.

And a big thank you to friend, artist and poet Pepe Arroyo for his editing help and encouragement. If you’d like a taste of his own work try issues Autumn 2025, Autumn 2024 & Summer 2024. I’d recommend his collection released through Vioer’s Tongue but it is unfortunately sold out.  My own copy sits here proudly in the Scat Shack studio. Pop by sometime and you can have a cup of tea and a read.

And thank you to Alberta Umber for the inclusion in this issue. Deep Gratitude.

Go get your copy!
